Effect of Mo on Microstructure and Property of Fire-resistant Steel

摘要: 对三种含Mo耐火钢组织和性能进行了实验分析,发现合金元素Mo在耐火钢中的主要作用是通过提高贝氏体淬透性来满足钢的高温性能。从组织学角度看,降低合金中的Mo含量而增加其它提高贝氏体淬透性的元素也能够满足耐火钢成分设计要求。探讨了设计低Mo或无Mo耐火钢的可能性。Abstract: The effect of Mo on the microstructure and property of fire-resistant steel is studied by means of dilatometer and transmission electron microscopy. It is found that the chief effect of Mo in fire-resistant steel is to promote bainite transformation to ensure the high temperature properties, therefore, in view of microstruc-tural controlling, it is possible to reduce Mo content by increasing the content of other elements which can enhance bainite transformation in the design of chemical compositions of fire-resistant steel. The feasibility of designing Mo-reduced and Mo-free fire-resistant steels is discussed.
