Abstract: The surface temperature distribution of the strand from Pangang's slab caster has been measured under industrial production condition, A two-dimensional heat transfer mathematical model of continuous cast slab during slab cooling and freezing has been developed. The effect of continuous casting parameters on temperature conditions of the strands is described. The control of final solidification process for continuous casting and the simulated computation results of the heat-insulated transportation have been analysed and discussed.
