Effect of Sintering Process on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Porous Ti-5Cu Alloy

摘要: 以40%球形硬脂酸为占位剂,应用粉末冶金法制备出具有各向异性多孔结构的多孔Ti-5Cu合金,并研究了烧结工艺对多孔Ti-5Cu合金微观结构和力学性能的影响。结果表明烧结温度和保温时间对制备出的多孔Ti-5Cu合金的相组成没有明显影响,但对其微观结构和力学性能有较大影响。在900℃保温2 h制备出孔结构和力学性能较佳的多孔Ti-5Cu合金,其孔隙率为68.25%,抗压强度为89.00 MPa,弹性模量为3.79 GPa,与人体骨的力学性能相近,有潜力用作骨修复材料。Abstract: Porous Ti-5 Cu alloy with anisotropic porous structure was prepared by powder metallurgy method using 40% of spherical stearic acid as the space holder agent,and the effect of sintering process on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the porous Ti-5 Cu alloy was studied.The results show that the sintering temperature and holding time have no obvious effects on the phase compositions of porous Ti-5 Cu alloy,but they have great influences on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy.Porous Ti-5 Cu alloy with good pore structure and mechanical properties can be prepared by vacuum sintering at 900℃ and holding for 2 h,with 68.25% of porosity,89.00 MPa of compressive strength and 3.79 GPa of elastic modulus.The obtained alloy has the similar mechanical properties with human bone and has the potential to be used as bone repair material.
