Abstract:
In accordance with the coexistence theory of slag structure and phase diagram,the Calculating models of mass action concentration for the FeO-TiO2,FeO-Fe2O3-TiO2 slag systems have been deduced,The agreement between the calculated oxidizability and measured results is satisfactory. It is shown that the coexistence theory of slag structure is applicable to the above mentioned slag systems.

Abstract:
This paper examines the influences of the smelting technology on the remaining elements in steel and the differences of mechanical properties of the reinforced bar.The quantitative relation between the mechanical properties of the reinforced bar containing V and Ti and the chemical composition is determined.The paper also gives a way to reduce steelmaking costs by using the valuable residual elements.

Abstract:
The process of vanadium recovery in the 20t converter was investigated. It is proven by the experiment that the process of vanadium recovery in the combined blowing converter is characterized by strong bath agitation,quick reaction and higher C content in the semi-steel.Meanwhile,the oxygen lance is free of adherence and the quality of the V-slag is improved.

Abstract:
The paper describes the pilot test of carbonization of the molten blast furnace TiO2 slag in a 2250kVA electric furnace,The process of carbonization of molten TiO2 slag has a tendancy for better materials mixing with larger electric furnace. During carbonization physical heat of the molten slag can be used resulting in 40% reduction of power consumption and 30% increase of productivity.The wider range of temperature has made the operation much easier.

Abstract:
A complex desulfurizer and its application to the desulfurization of hot metal by pneumatic injection were discussed. Using CaC2 mixed with the supplemental reactants, the rate of desulfurization was the same as that of pure CaC2.Operational results show that the average desulfurization rate was 90.45%,the average final S content in the hot metal 0.0065% and the average temperature loss of hot metal 19℃, while the average initial S content in the hot metal was 0.071% and the average desulfurizer consumption 8.08kg/tFe. The effect of desulfurization was the same as the level of KR process.

Abstract:
Based on a lot of measured data,the influence of the hot return rate on the quality and Productivity of the V-Ti bearing magnetite ore sinter is investigated qualitatively and quantitatively using mathematical statistics. Optimum rate of the hot return and the associated operation variables are indicated.It is shown that the hot return rate has a marked influence on the productivity and quality of the sinter. Lowering the hot return rate can effectively improve the productivity of the sintering machine and sinter quality and reduce the energy consumption. The way to decrease the hot return rate is also discussed.

Abstract:
This paper describes the causes of the formation of lower flow of leaching and the factors influencing the lower flow of leaching in the production of V2O5. The problems existing in the V2O5 shop of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Co. after the operation in 1990 were analysed. Some measures were presented to solve the problems based on the current situation of the V2O5 shop. Good results were achieved.

Abstract:
The steel slag of Suzhou Iron and Steel Plant has been treated with new activation technology.Then the activated slag is ground and mixed with cement clinker.The physical properties has been tested.The results reveal that the hydration of the activated slag is fairly good,and the grade of the slag silicate cement is up to 425#;The mechanism of slag activation has been investigated.It is proven that the new activation technology of steel slag has opened up a way of slag comprehensive utilization.

Abstract:
The average life of the alumina cement prefabricated beam in front and back of the burner of the sintering machine was only two months at Panzhihua Iron & Steel Co. To solve the problem,the beam of low-cement in combination with high alumina castable refractory has been developed and the erection method has been improved.Consequently,the service life is raised to over 6 months,with the maximum life up to 16 months.

This paper introduces the development and manufacture of the coiled wire rod packing machine of self-biting type,which is suitable for the combination of the high speed wire mill and the double duo mill. Abstract:
Based on the fact that the K2Cr2O7 can oxidize Sb3+ by Fe2+ inducing,the oxidation reaction is inhibited by V5+,The method of vanadium determination by dynamic XRFA is established. The detection limit is 0.05μg/50ml and the determination range of vanadim is 0.05~2.6μg/50ml.

Abstract:
This paper has reviewed the documented research work on smelting V-Ti bearing magnetite in the blast furnace. Based on the production and burdon structure trials done at home and abroad,combined with the charateristics of Pangang's current production process and the local mineral resources,a rationalized burden structure resulting in (TiO2)>25% in the slag has been put forward,of the burden,Pangang's high basicity sinter as the essential burden and a part of the vanadium and titanium-bearing lump ore and lean manganese ore as the additives.
