Abstract:
The production grades and quality of the low alloyed steels currently produced in china are introdueed in this paper. Problems with the three major grades sharing 80% of the production of the low alloyed steels are presented and measures taken to innovate these steels are proposed accordingly. To speed up the growth of low alloyed steels. importance should be attached to the development of new products,to form a complete set of product grades by incorporating research and application of new technologies, Steels urgently needed by the energy and communication departments and high performance materials for special uses must be developed based on the characteristics of local resources.

The present technologies of V-recovery in oxygen top blowing converters adopted by domestic and foreign steelmakers are introduced. Discussions were made on some of the technic problems associated with the V-recovery in converters at Pangang,such as the cooling, oxygen supply and slag-forming practices and final control etc.

Abstract:
In this paper.on the basis of experimental studies on heat balance measuring and calculating in four high titania vanadium-bearing titaniferrous magnetites smelting BF in the Ironmaking Plant.Panzhihua I & S Co,some better results are achieved:heat energy distribution,heat energy utillization level,energy saving potentiality and energy saving ways in high tania vanadium-bearing titaniferrous magnetites smelting BF, that makes some metallurgical workers to know or understand the energy utilization of vanadium-bearing titaniferrous magnetites smelting BF being paid a great deal of attention. It also provides some baxises that determine the heat balance measuring and calculating ways in vanadium-bearing titaniferroua magnetites smelting BF.

Abstract:
In this paper the ability of Nb-V, Nb-Ti and Nb-V-Ti microalloyed steels to resist growth of austenite grains and the influence of N on the ability of Nb-V-Ti microalloyed steel to resist growth of auxtenite grains are studied. Test results indicate that microamount Ti addition can greatly enhance the ability of Nb-V-Ti microalloyed steel to resist growth of austenite grains,with the increase of N content the ability of Nb-v-Ti steel to resist growth of austenite grains increases,but too much content of N decreases toughness of welding heat affected zone.

Abstract:
Based on cold-state experiment,the characteristics of heat transfer of the spray-cooling mold have been investigated.According to experimental results,this paper have made research on the influence of the mold temperature, heat flux, heat transfer coefficient and water flow,and the results provide theoretical basis for the design and operation of the spray-cooling mold.

Abstract:
An investigation was made into the wear and deformation of the seal equipments of No.1and No. 2 sintering machines at Pangang(Panzhihua Iron and Steel Co.).Air leakage occuring at various Iocations of No. 2 Sintering machine was measured before and affer its intermediate repairs. The mechanisms of the high leakage rate were investigated and the measures to reduce the leakage rate were proposed.The heavy-hammer seal devices were installed on the wind boxes at the head and tail of No.1 and No. 3 sintering machines and methods for machining the grate play were improved,resulting in a reduction of air leakage rate by 5. 44%respectively.

Abstract:
The influence of high temperature remote-Infrared coating paint application on energy consumption,furnace temperature,life of furnace lining,metal lost of billet and waiting time of billet heating have been described in this paper. The results of tests show,after spraing inner surface of furnace lining with a coating of the paint,energy consumption of furnace,metal lost of billet and waiting time of billet heating have been reduced,calorific efficiency of furnace chamber is increased.the peeling off of furnace lining is decreased evidently,comprehensive economic benefit is obvious.

Abstract:
The lot production of a series of low temperature pressure vessel steel plates such as 16MnR,16MnDR and 09Mn2VDR successfully developed by Chongqing Iron and Steel Co. Using the micro-V-Ti treatment technologies is introduced in this paper.The smelting and rolling processes and the associated parameters of the above three grades as well as their good mechanical properties(particularly the low temperature impact toughness),social and economic benefits were described.

Based on the docuzmented research work,tests were conducted to selectively separate the free silicon from the siliconcarbide with NaOH,Then the content of Sif was determined using the colorimetric method.Good results were obtained as the relative standard deviation of determination for 0.1%~1.0% Sif reached 0.03%.
