Abstract:
The effect of four factors. i. e. vanadium content in steel,deformation temperature,deformation rate,cooling rate,on high temperature thermoplasticity of low alloy vanadium steel was quantitatively investigated on GLEEBLE-1500 thermal-mechanical simulator by means of orthogonal design test. A mathmatical models describing the relation between four factors and thermoplasticity of steel have been developed by the use of mathmatical regression method,which will provide an important basis for making reasonable vanadium steel continuous casting technology.

Abstract:
The tests of submerged arc heating in foamy slag were conducted by the use of the carbonate foaming agent in 120t ladle furnace. The test results show the foaming property of the foaming agent can meet the requirements of submerged arc heating process in foamy slag,When 120kg foaming agent is added,the relative foaming height of the molten slag is about 100%,the foaming of molten slag continue over 8 min. The average temperature rise rate of molten steel by means of submerged arc heating in foamy slag is increased by 18. 6 % when the heating time is 11~15min.

Abstract:
Based on the mechanism of fused salt chlorination and the features of Panzhihua titanium bearing slag,the process conditions and components of salt system were systematically investigated in industrial test of fused salt chlorination. The feasibility to use self-forming salt system was discussed. The potassium and sodium salts are not consumed with self-forming salt system,which is beneficial to comprehensively utilize magnesium in Panzhihua titanium bearing slag.

Abstract:
The process for preparation of high purity ultrafine TiO2 powder by means of neutralization of hydrolyzed TiCl4 solution with ammonia in the presence of organic dispersant was developed. The effects of the dispersant type and its consumption, concentration of reactants, feeding mode,maturing temperature and time on the properties of TiO2 were investigated.The spheroidal TiO2 powder was prepared whose purity is over 99.5%,particle diameter is less than 1.0μ,The results of 100kg grade test show the physicochemical properties of the ultrafine TiO2 powder and the characteristics of PTC electronic component made from the TiO2 powder approach the technical index of similar products of TDK Co. in Japan.

Abstract:
The vanadium distribution in vanadium recovery process from hot metal in converter at Pangang was investigated. Based on test results, vanadium balance was obtained. The technical measures to increase vanadium ratio in vanadium recovery from hot metal in converter were put forward.

Abstract:
Based on the actual state of hot metal and pretreatment processess at pangang.the measures are proposed to improve skimming method through a series of experiments,The experimental results show the use of two in one brick for skimming is feasible. The skimming efficiency and flow rate of hot metal are 97.6% and 14. 9t/min respectively so as to meet the reguirements of vanadium recovery from hot metal. The content of calcium oxide in vanadium slag decreases to 1.28%.

Abstract:
Based on profile equation,shape cone and roll gap equation for strip rolling,the profile control requirements and control ideas were analyzed. The technical issues with regard to selection of the mode of profile control were considered. In addition,Profile index of hot rolled transfer bar and material used for cold rolling and optimization of load distribution under conventional hot rolling condition were quantitatively analyzed.

Abstract:
The acetylene produced in reaction of the sample of combined desulphurizing agent to water is burned in oxygen gas. The amount of CO2 formed is determined in soda asbestos absorption gravimetric method so as to calculate CaC2 content. The free CaO and CaC2 in the sample are leached in glycerol-glycol-sucrose-water mixed leaching liquor. The total amount of Cao and CaC2 is determined in EGTA complexometric titration at pH> 12. The amount of CaC2 subtracted from the total amount of CaC2 and CaO leaves the amount of free CaO. The CaCO3 in residue after leaching is leached in acetic acid. The calcium acetate is determined in EGTA complexometric titration so as to calculate CaCO3 content. The CaF2 in the final residue leached in sulphuric acid chlorhydric acid-boracic acid-water is analyzed.
