PRETREATMENT OF HOT METAL CONTAINING VANADIUM AND TITANIUM AT PZH STEEL

The pretreatment process for hot metal containing vanadium and titanium at PZH Steel was introduced.First,the desulphurization of the hot metal is carried out. After desulphurization,the sulfur content in the hot metal is decreased from initial 0.04%~0.08% to less than 0.02%,even less than 0.01%.Second,the vanadium is recovered from the desulphurized hot metal in converter,the vanadium in the hot metal is made to come into vanadium bearing slag, the vanadium content in the hot metal is reduced from initial 0.32%~0.34% to less than 0.028%.The(V₂O₅)content in the vanadium bearing slag is about 19%.
