Effect of coiling temperature on microstructures and mechanical properties of hot-rolled bands of Ti -IF steel was studied by means of optical microscopy,X-ray texture measurement and tensile property testing. The results show that the hot bands not only exhibit fine-grained ferrite measured to be approximately ASTM grade 11.0 but also show obvious textures. The main texture components were {115}〈110〉,{223}〈110〉and {332}〈110〉along a fiber. The coiling temperatures during hot rolling seems to have little effect on the ferrite grain size, whereas the microstructure seems to be more homogeneous and the density of all above -mentioned texture orientations seemed to decrease with the increasing of coiling temperature.Increasing coiling temperature causes strength to drop and elongation to increase at first and then to decrease.
