PROPOSALS ON SPEEDING UP THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOW ALLOYED STEELS IN CHINA

  • The production grades and quality of the low alloyed steels currently produced in china are introdueed in this paper. Problems with the three major grades sharing 80% of the production of the low alloyed steels are presented and measures taken to innovate these steels are proposed accordingly. To speed up the growth of low alloyed steels. importance should be attached to the development of new products,to form a complete set of product grades by incorporating research and application of new technologies, Steels urgently needed by the energy and communication departments and high performance materials for special uses must be developed based on the characteristics of local resources.
