PREPARATION OF RUTILE NANOMETER TITANIA APPLICABLE TO VLTRA-VIOLET SCREENING

  • Using TiO(OH)2 as raw material to prepare rutile nanometer titania applicable to ultra-violet screening by employing of Sol-Gel method was studied. The study concentrated on the influence of the amount of rutile accelerator, reaction temperature, calcining temperature and duration against the rate of crystalline phase transition of tiania and crystal dimension. The effects of nanometer titania crystal dimension on the absorption of ultra violet was also discussed.
