High temperature mechanical property tests of common grain oriented silicon steels produced by thin slab casting and rolling route(TSCR) in laboratory have been carried out.The influence of dynamic recrystallization,precipitates and phase transformation on hot ductility of grain oriented silicon steel is analyzed.The results show that the brittleness region Ⅱ does not appear in grain oriented silicon steel examined.The temperature range of ductility region Ⅲ is about 850~6 00℃.Precipitates along the grain boundaries and phase transformation mainly lead to a decrease on hot ductility of grain oriented silicon steel.
