Influence of Iron Coating on Chroma of Titanium Dioxide

Complexional titanium dioxide was prepared by surface treatment technology using TiO₂ and FeCl₃ as raw materials.Chroma was used to characterize the samples.In the experiment,the factors which affect the color of the sample,including coating quantity,coating temperature,aging time,and calcining temperature and time were systematically investigated.Resultsshow that the optimal technological parameters of synthesizing complexional titanium dioxide are as follows: coating temperature at 85 ℃,feeding time for 45min,aging time for 30 min,iron coating quantity of 5%,and calcining temperature at 600~700 ℃.
