The difficulty of the smelting of vanadium-bearing titaniferous magnetite in BF is that the high-titanium slag is easy to be viscous. It will result in hot metal easy to stick to the ladle,poor desulphurization and much iron loss.The reason is that titanium dioxide is overreduced to TiC TiN,which couldn't melt unless under high temperature. An experimental study on the PC injection with high oxygen enrichment has been carried out to search for a new way of ironmaking using total vanadium-bearing titaniferous magnetite in BF.
