Abstract:
In order to improve combustion properties and enhance combusion of pulverized coal (PC), the combustion experiment was carried out after the PC used for PZH Steel blast furnace was mixed with different additives.Based on the feature of blast furnace operation, MnO2, MgCO3, MnCO3, NaCl (table salt), MgCl2, quick lime, CaF2 and converter dust were chosen as additives.The results of the dynamic combusion experiment show that the ignition time of PC was shortened and the burning ratio was increased when PC is mixed with appropriate additives.The combustion-supporting effects of NaCl and quick lime were obvious among several additives.The amount of additive in PC should be determined on the basis of its effect on blast furnace operation.

Abstract:
The furnace body erosion of 2# blast furnace of PZH Steel at the end of second compaign wassystematically investigated.The causes for furnace body erosion were analyzed.The features of furnace body erosion were clarified under conditions of intensification of smelting process.The mechanism of lining protection was further revealed with TiO2 bearing burden,the technical measures which make the blast furnace high efficiency and long compaign were put forward.

Abstract:
The Characteristics of sintering of Baima V-Ti-bearing magnetite concentrate were analyzed.Compared With Panzhihua V-Ti-bearing magnetite concentrate,the Baima concentrate sintering is characterized by high vertical sintering speed and utilization coefficient of sintering machine,high in iron and vanadium oxides and low in titanium oxide and sulphide in the sinter.The softing,melting and dropping temperatures of Baima sinter were lower,which is beneficial to improve permeability of the burden in blast furnace.

Abstract:
Based on cross breaks defect formation during uncoilling of hot strip of low carbon steel,the bending deformation,stress distribution,yield point elongation and strain aging of the hot strip during uncoilling and levelling were analyzed by use of the knowledge,such as elastic-plastic mechanics and metal science etc.It is believed that the bad flatness of the hot strip is not responsible for the cross breaks formation.The defect results from yield point elongation of the low carbon steel,thus providing a basis for solution of the cross breaks defect.

Abstract:
Based on analysis of applied force,the mechanism of cross breaks defect formation and the relation between operative condition and the defect were investigated in detail.It is believed that uneven residual stress arosen from bad profile in finish rolling is resposible for the cross breaks formation during hot strip uncoilling. Thus,resulting harmfulness from the cross breaks may be diminished or eliminated by controlling profile and optimization of uncoilling operation.

The mechanism of carbon pick-up in strand was destribed when ultra-low carbon steel is cast continuously.The various technical measures taken to prevent the strand from carbon picking up when the mould powder for continuous casting of ultra-low carbon steel was designed and developed at home and abroad and their effectiveness were introduced. The proposals to develop the mould powder for continuous casting of ultra-low carbon steel at PZH Steel were put forward.

Abstract:
The study and operation practice of ore-nut coke mixed charging of PZH Steel blast furnace were introduced.The existing facilities at Ironmaking Plant of PZH Steel were fully used for the equipment for the nut coke recovery and mixed charging. Therefore,the advantages of the project are a little engineering investment,good returns on the investment,coke saving and cost reduction due to replacement of coke by nut coke,stable operation of blast furnace,high production achieved and beneficial to Ti-V-bearing magnetite smelting.

Abstract:
The excessive FeCl3 solution is added into the analytical sample.The metallic aluminiun (MAl) in the sample is made to oxidizing-reducing react with Fe3+ by means of stirring,resulting Al3+ coming into solution.The Al2O3 doesn't react,retains in the precipitate.After fluorine is removed and calcium,magnesium and iron separated from the Al3+ bearing filter liquor,the MAl content is determined with CuSO4 titrimetry,the MAl content is subtracted from the total Al content,then the Al2O3 content is calculated.
