The heat treatment test had been conducted on 12 Cr13 stainless steel,and the metallographic structure and carbide morphology of the resulted samples were observed,and the corrosion resistance and pitting potential of the samples were tested.The results show that the salt spray corrosion resistance of both normalized and normalized +350℃ tempered 12 Cr13 steel are the best,the salt spray corrosion resistance of normalized +750℃ tempered is good,butthe corrosion resistance of normalized +550℃ tempered is significantly deteriorated.The final heat treatment process of processed parts should avoid medium temperature tempering to ensure its corrosion resistance.
