Optimization for Recovery Process of Low-grade Olivine-type Ilmenite

Aiming to resolve the problems of high cost and low yield for industrial recovery of low-grade olivine-type ilmenite in a mining company in Panzhihua-Xichang area,the process optimization was carried out.By improving the screw feeder and the second-stage high-intensity magnetic operation section in the factory,the TiO₂ grade in the flotation material can be effectively increased and the cost of flotation agents can be effectually decreased,with the rate of titanium concentrate increased by 14.18%.The optimization can realize the recovery of the low-grade olivine-type ilmenite with higher efficiency and lower cost.
