Technical Discussion on Improving AlV55 Yield

  • In this paper,the factors affecting the yield of AlV55 alloy prepared by aluminum thermal reduction method were studied,and the approaches for improving the yield were also discussed.The influencing factors include fine powder,oxides film and segregation,etc.With the unit heat effect at 3 315 kJ/kg,the alloy has a good apparent quality and the yield can be effectively improved.The effect of the brittle phase Al8 V5 on the fine powder rate and oxides film can be minimized by increasing the vanadium content of the alloy within the standard range.By cross-rotating the furnace body,the alloy liquid can be self-stirred to achieve uniform alloy compositions and reduce the composition segregation.
