Aiming at the problems of the large storage of titanium gypsum in China,which is the solid waste produced by titanium dioxide industry with an annual output of nearly 30 million tons,the shortcomings of the existing utilization ways were analyzed,and the directions and goals for large-scale comprehensive utilization of the titanium gypsum were put forward.It is considered that the surface water content of titanium gypsum should be not more than 20% after pressure filtration or calcination,and the II-type anhydrous gypsum(anhydrite) can be generated through secondary calcination.Furthermore,the II-type anhydrous gypsum can be used as clinker to produce super sulfate cement,transforming the solid waste into resource and realizing large-scale utilization of the titanium gypsum.
