Study on the Improvement of Slab Equiaxed Crystal Ratio by Electric Pulse Acted on Liquid Steel in Continuous Casting Mould

  • The improvement of slab equiaxed crystal ratio by electric pulse on liquid steel in continuous casting mould of Panzhihua steel No.1 slab was studied.The improvement of slab equiaxed crystal ratio was analyzed according to energy consumption per ton steel by electric pulse on liquid steel in continuous casting mould.The slab equiaxed crystal ratio was heightened up to 48% at most,average to 15% with electric pulse than without electric pulse while the speed,cast,superheat,mould cooling regime and second cooling regime were in the same conditions.
