The wave difference was firstly applied to evaluate the mold level fluctuation. According to the continuous casting mold of a plant, the water model was made in the proportion to 1:1 from slab mold, and the effects of SEN angle, entry depth and mold width on the wave difference were studied. The technical parameters, which guarantee the most perfect fluctuation at various location of mold, were presented based on a great deal of experimental data.
