Experimental Study on the Preparation of Ti-Al Based Alloy by Aluminothermic Reduction-Vacuum Electromagnetic Levitation Refining of Waste Denitration Catalyst

摘要: 采用铝热还原—真空电磁悬浮熔炼法,对废弃的选择性催化还原(SCR)钛基脱硝催化剂制备Ti-Al基金属间化合物进行了试验研究。通过SEM和XRD分析,发现合金中所观察到的相主要由TiAl2,Ti5Si3和TiAl相组成,而杂质相主要以氧化物和碳化物的形式存在。随着合金的精炼,钛铝化合物的组成由富钛钛铝化合物相转变为富铝钛铝化合物相,杂质含量逐渐减少,三次精炼后的总杂质去除率可达85%以上。硬度测试表明,随着精炼次数增加,硬度呈上升趋势。这是由于高硬度的TiAl2相增加和低硬度的TiAl相减少所导致的。Abstract: Experimental study on the preparation of Ti-Al based intermetallic alloy from selective catalytic reduction(SCR) Ti-based denitration catalyst was first conducted by using aluminothermic reduction followed with the vacuum electromagnetic levitation melting.Using SEM and XRD analyses,it is found that the alloy is mainly composed of TiAl2,Ti5Si3 and TiAl phases while the impurities mostly exist as the form of oxides and carbides.With the refining of the alloy,the composition of Ti-Al compound changes from Ti-rich to Al-rich titanium aluminide,and the impurities content decreases gradually with more than 85% of the total impurity removal rate after three times of refining.Finally,the hardness test was performed and it shows increase tendency with increase of refining times.This is due to the increase of TiAl2 phase with high hardness and the decrease of TiAl phase with low hardness.
