Abstract:
This study applies statistics,mathematical correlation analysis and cybernetics to parameters control and data processing in BOF steelmaking process. The mathematical analysis is combined with steelmaking theory,so as to obtain the equivalent relation between process parameters,lining materials and lining life,and establish mathematical model of Pangang's BOF lining life. The model has been used to control factors affecting lining life,resulting in an annual increase of 10%in Pangang's BOF lining life during the recent four years and marked improvement in BOF productivity.

Abstract:
This paper investigates the characteristics of KmTBCr25Ni2MoV high chromium cast iron which is produced as cast,air quenching and as cast fast cooling,and the effects of carbon content on its abrasion resistance and mechanical properties.By using as cast fast cooling technology and improving the frame of lining plates,the life of lining plates is 4 to 6 times longer than ZGMn13 and steel containing manganese element.This material is one of the best materials used under impact abrasive conditions.

Abstract:
The synthesis method of titanium alkoxides has been introduced.In inert solvent,the process of preparation of TiO2 particles by hydrolysis of self-made titanium alkoxides is described.The effects of the concentration of reactants,the temperature, amount of water,the stirring rate,dispersants,the drying and the burning on particle properties were studied.The TiO2 powder has been prepared,whose purity is above 99.5 percent,particle size is below 1.0μm and form is similar to ball. This type of TiO2 powder has been made into PTC electronic componments,with performance up to the technic indices of TDK produced in Japan.

Abstract:
In this paper,the effects of chemical composition of the steel for oil drill collar on its properties were studied and the heat treatment process were optimized.The results show that the 45CrMnMo steel,with high hardenability and excellent combined mechanical properties,is an ideal material for making large-size(8"~9")oil drill collar.

Abstract:
By overviewing the recent worldwide development of the Cornputer Control System Structure(CCSS)in BOF steelmaking process and its prospect,and considering the reality of BOF steelmaking process in Pangang,it is concluded that an artificial intellectualizing,accumulizing and multiplizing control system should be adopted in the general project,and the system structure should be a Hierarchical Distributed Cornputer Control system(HDCCS)so that a best feature of the system and a high rate of performance to price can be obtained.The suggestive steps of the project put into action are also discussed in this paper.

Abstract:
Based on an understanding of the solidification features of slabs in moulds,the mathematical model of heat transfer of the spray cooling mold has been proposed.The metallurgical parameters of the conventional recirculating water cooling and the spray cooling molds have been calculated respectively.The metallurgical effects of both cooling methods have been studied and compared.

Laboratory-scale experimental investigations on characteristics of the three types of cyclonic distributors(Long-column, Short-column and ball types)developed were performed.The experimental results show that solids through long-column type distributor is most even-distributed;its distribution deviation is below 5% as gas flowrate is greater than 60m3/h;distribution deviation decreases with increase of gas flowrate and appropriate increase of column height.

Abstract:
The paper describes the reactions and the slag oxide-metal element equilibrium between the slag system TiO2-CaO-MgO-SiO2-Al2O3and alloy system Ti-Si-Fe. The Pangang blast furnace TiO2 slag,ferrosilicon and lime were mixed and fed into 200kVA DC electric furnace. Reaction occured in the state of molten mixture. Ferrosilico-titanium and lower reduced TiO2 slag were obtained.Equilibrium was attained after 40mins.The basicity of the slag can be increased by moderate addition of lime. The higher Si content in the alloy favours good recovery of Ti from TiO2 slag.

This paper describes the decomposition process of APV under nitrogen and oxidizing atmosphere by making use of the latest thermal ananlysis technology. By means of calculation of its thermal dynamics and kinetics,the decompsition heat,activation energy and reaction order under different atmosphere have been determined,and the Arrhenius equation diagram of different decomposition process has been given.

Abstract:
The production of micro-alloved and hot-rolled,residual heat treated and cold-rolled reinforced steel bars by foreign Steelmakers is surveyed.A comparison is made between the three grades in terms of their advantages and disadvantages as well as their application fields.
Owing to the economic recovery currently occuring in the major industrialized nations,the demand of international reinforced bars is booming and the price is upping,which gives domestic suppliers great opportunities of promoting exports.The V-bearing 3# grade steel bar is an idea type of reinforced bar,which will gradually substitute the 2# grade in the domestic market and can adapt to the international construction market.
