1998, 19(1): 9-15,31.
Abstract(28) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The steel composition readjustment by manganese ore pellet direct alloying has been studied in the lab.. The factors influencing manganese yielb and[Mn] content in molten steel are considered. The kinetics of direct alloying by manganese ore pellet is investigated according to the liquid-liquid reaction kinetics.

ZHANG Guolin, BAI Chenguang
1998, 19(1): 20-24.
Abstract(13) PDF(1)
Abstract:
Acomparison is made on various methods for surface viscosity measurements. As a result, the laser measurement is adopted to determine surface viscosity of the BF slag produced at Pangang.which have proved feasible and is possible to apply to measurement of slag surface tension and surface structure, etc.
THE TEMPERING MICROSTRUCTURES IN STE355 STEELS AFTER SIMULATED WELD THERMAL CYCLE
YIN Guiquan, GAO Jiasheng, HONG Yongchang, WEN Ping, YUAN Xiaomin
1998, 19(1): 25-31.
Abstract(15) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The effects of tempering temperature on microstructures in STE355 steels after welding has been investigated. The simulated weld HAZ specimens were produced by applying single-pass and multi-pass welding thermal cycle respectively with a peak temperature of 1320℃.then were tempered by soaking for 1. 5 hours at 500-620℃ The microstructure changes in specimens, especially the decomposition and transformation of granular bainite and M-A constituent at different tempering temperature were observed by scanning and transmission electron microscopes. The relative proper tempering process was proposed according to the relation between microstructure and properties.
PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY AND PROPERTY OF 09CuPRE HOT ROLLED WEATHER RESISTING STEEL PLATE PRODUCED AT PANGANG
GUO Yan, GUO Hua, ZUO Jun, CHANG Jun, XU Jianzhong, WANG Dan
1998, 19(1): 32-37.
Abstract(14) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The production technologic and property indices of 09CuPRE hot rolled weather resisting steel plate developed and produced at Pangang are introduced. The rare earth cored wire is fed into the casting mould resulting in a higher RE yield. The steel plate produced by the company exhibits stable mechanical properties. excellent isotropy, remarkable weather resisting property and cold bend forming property better than that of the same grades produced by the domestic steelmakers.
EFFECTS OF ANNEALING CONDITIONS ON MICROSTRUCTURES AND PROPERTIES OF 08Al COLD-ROLLED DEEP DRAWING SHEET STEEL
ZHENG Zhiwang, YANG Xiuliang, CHENG Xingde
1998, 19(1): 38-42.
Abstract(25) PDF(1)
Abstract:
Under the laboratory conditions, the recrystallization temperature of P08AI deep drawing sheet steel was determined, and effects of both heating rate between 500℃ and 710℃ during batch annealing and holding time at 710℃ on microstructures, properties and recrystallization textures were investigated. Annealing conditions beneficial to improve drawing properties of 08Al sheet steel were further put forward.
RELATION BETWEEN SULPHUR CONTENT IN HOT METAL AND FINAL COST IN DESULPHURIZING-STEELMAKING PROCESSES
YANG Subo, WEN Yongcai, CHEN Yu, LI Yangzhou, XU Lizhi, DONG Yanhua
1998, 19(1): 43-47.
Abstract(19) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The sulphur content in hot metal and the consumption of raw materials in hot metal desulphurizing steelmaking processes have been investigated. The so called "sample part mean" method was used in data processing. The results indicate that the final cost can be greatly decreased by increasing the production capacity of desulphurizing station, optimizing desulphurizing process, and using active lime and slag less operation in steelmaking process.

HU Zuoxing, LIU Bo
1998, 19(1): 48-51.
Abstract(20) PDF(1)
Abstract:
Reasons for serious scale loss of slab in the heating furnace at Hot Strip Mill of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Co. were investigated. Measures to minimize the scale loss were proposed and exercised resulting in the increase of operation period of heating furnace from 2 to above 6 months.

1998, 19(1): 62-65.
Abstract(17) PDF(1)
Abstract:
Experimental study was conducted of the interference effects of a number of matrix elements on V and Ti spectrum using ICP-AES spectrographic analysis. V 310.230 nm and Ti 334. 940urn were selected as the two measurement spectrum lines, and K coefficient correction and matrix adaptation methods were applied to eliminate the matrix and spectrum interference. Measurement can be conducted on V>0. 001% and Ti>0.0005% with standard deviation less than 5% and 3% respectively.
