It is investigated in this paper that weldability of the 40MnV（Ti）microalloyed non-quenched and tempered steel,by such as the slit type cracking test,the hot tensile test,the synthetic weld thermal cycle test and the welded joint performance test.It is shown that 40MnV（Ti） steel has good resitance to cold cracking and liquation cracking,there isn't embrittlement in HAZ. The welded joint compared with base metal is higher in strength and in absorbed energy.
