STUDY ON VANADIUM RECOVERY FROM HOT MFTAL CONTAINING VANADIUM WiTH SODA AND MAGNFSIA

Vanadium recovery from hot metal containing vanadium with soda and magnesia by oxygen top blowing is discussed.The effect of the amount of magncsia added,MgO addition time and the Na₂O, CaO,MgO content in the slag is examined.The expcrirnental resuIts show that when MgO/Na₂CO₃ mass radio is about 1.3,the rate of vanadium oxidation is 83.23%,the extent of desufurization,dephosporization and decarbonization is 77.49%,83.19%,12.53%respectively,the rate of vanadium directly leachcd from slag is 93.89%,and 20%saving of soda is achived.
