Abstract:
The pass system design of the No.10 finishing stand for exit wire rod Ø 6.5 mm at the Pangang's high speed wire rod rolling mill is made using the computer aided pass design software.Good service resuits are obtained through production practice. Successful attempts have been made to optimize performance and increase productivity of the first home-manufactured non-twist mill.Remarkable economic benefits have been achieved at Panzhihua lron and Steel Co.

Abstract:
The anti-seismic properties and indexs are proposed against failures of constructional structural steels in case of intense earthquake. The anti-seismic properties of some common structural steels are studied systematically. Prospect of application of the high earthquake resistant constructional steel containing micro vanadium-titanium in anti-seismic design is disscused.

Abstract:
A laboratory test was conducted to add small amount of fluorite,boryte,iron-manganese ore and boron mud to vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate sinter mix and to investigate the effect of SiO2/TiO2 variation on the sintering process and sinter metallurgical properties. The test shows that addition of adequate fluorite and iron-manganese ore to the mix charge can notably increase productivity. Fluorite can improve low temperature breakdown property of sinter.

Abstract:
To solve the problem in combined blowing associated with the arc-bottomed converter changed from the flat-bottorned converter in the V-extracting steelmaking plant,the laying way of tuyeres,bottom blowing system and blowing model have been improved.The combined blowing process has been incorporated to all the three 120t-convertcrs,obtaining better metallurgical effects.

Abstract:
A small amount of alloying elements and adequate titanium were added to the Armcoiron to investigate the smelting methods of IF steel under non-vacuum conditions and effects of titanium on the properties of IF steel. The trial steel smelted in the induction furnace, hot and cold rolled, and subject to aging analysis, test in $\bar{r}, n$ and texture, was proved to comform with the properties of IF steel. Test results suggest that the trial steel smelted by the induction furnace and containing 0.03%C and 0.189% Ti exhibits no aging behavior, enjoys higher $\bar{r}$ and $n$ value, better deep-drawing property than 08Al steel, and shows favorable texture. It is also indicated that real titanium should be slightly over 0.02%.

Abstract:
Vanadium recovery from hot metal containing vanadium with soda and magnesia by oxygen top blowing is discussed.The effect of the amount of magncsia added,MgO addition time and the Na2O, CaO,MgO content in the slag is examined.The expcrirnental resuIts show that when MgO/Na2CO3 mass radio is about 1.3,the rate of vanadium oxidation is 83.23%,the extent of desufurization,dephosporization and decarbonization is 77.49%,83.19%,12.53%respectively,the rate of vanadium directly leachcd from slag is 93.89%,and 20%saving of soda is achived.

In this paper,the relation between the recovery efficiency of molybdenum and all kinds of effecting factors was obtained by experiment.The ferromolybdenum(FeMo70)produced is in conformity to GB3649-87 standard.The recovery efficiency of molybdenum is 98.65%in stable experiment.

Abstract:
In order to solve the problem of expensive aluminium-type thermite currently used for ingot casting at Pangang's Steelmaking Plant, a new and cheap substitutional thermal insulation agent is developed. The heat transfer-process of ingot head, mechanism of shrinkage-proof action and property of shrinkage-proof agent are disscussed. A few years' production practice show that the covering agent performance is equal to that of aluminium-type thermite, and the quality of steel comforms to current standards.

This test has been conducted for the purpose of development of production technology of 60Si2Mn spring steel by converter。The rational deoxidation and alloying process are determined to obtain clean steel and keep total non-metallic inclusions≤3.5 grade,The fatigue resistant property of the trial automobile sheet spring is excellent.The combined properties of the steel are equal to those of the electric furnace steel.

In the experiment,the ITHAC-2002 was used to determine H2 in metal chrome,Options of analysis current,analysis time,degassing current,degassing time and gradient time were made one by one. The standard deviation was 0.46% and variation factor 3.36%.
