EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON REDUCING FLUORITE CONTENT OF CALCIUM DEPHOSPHORIZING FLUX

  • The experimental study on dephosphorization for hot metal pretreatment by CaO-Fe2O3-CaF2 flux was performed. By adding CaO, Al2O3 and Na2CO3 into dephosphorizing flux, the dephosphorization rate is somewhat increased. The results show that by using Al2O3 substituting for some CaF2, the content of final phosphorus in hot metal can be controlled to be 0.003%~0.006%, and the dephosphorization rate exceeds 90%.
