Abstract:
Based on the eroding experiments of firebrick by TiO2-containing slag,the different behaviors of 9 kinds of bricks gives an idea that the eroding difference of the brick depends on its porosity. The microstructure of the bricks eroded gives more detail with EPMA.

Abstract:
The experimental study on dephosphorization for hot metal pretreatment by CaO-Fe2O3-CaF2 flux was performed. By adding CaO, Al2O3 and Na2CO3 into dephosphorizing flux, the dephosphorization rate is somewhat increased. The results show that by using Al2O3 substituting for some CaF2, the content of final phosphorus in hot metal can be controlled to be 0.003%~0.006%, and the dephosphorization rate exceeds 90%.

Abstract:
The composition of mould fluxes was designed according to the principle of regressive orthogonal design, and the effect of RExOy on viscosity and melting temperature of mould fluxes have been investigated. The results indicate that at the condition of basicity more than 0.85, the melting temperature and viscosity of mould fluxes would be increased with the increasing of RExOy in mould fluxes, which leads to the decreasing of dissolving capacity of in mould fluxes. At the condition of basicity less than 0.80, the melting temperature and viscosity of mould fluxes would be decreased with the increasing of RExOy in mould fluxes.

Abstract:
The influencing factors of drawing properties for the cylinder end-heads were analyzed by checking out the defect of cylinder end-heads which made of HP295 steel.Resultsshow that the crack at cylinder end-heads in drawing process is due to the concentrated RE inclusion in the steel. And its wrinkle defect is related to banding texture in the steel, uneven sheet thickness and drawing parameters.

Abstract:
The technical process of production FeV50 by electrosilicothermal method using vanadium trioxide as raw materials was introduced. The effect of silicon match coefficient and slag composition on FeV50 ferrovanadium smelting was discussed. It is concluded that the ferrovanadium based on GB4139-87 standard can be fluently produced under the test selected conditions,and the average recovery rate of vanadium reaches 96.84%。

Abstract:
The influencing factors of castability for Al-killed steel and it's acting mechanism were discussed. In order to reduce the inclusion source and accelerate the floating of inclusion, a series of technical measures were put forward and some good results were achieved, such as keeping moderate higher final carbon content, using Calcium-based flux, protecting cast, and increase the nozzle diameter etc.

Abstract:
Metallurgical results of mold electromagnetic stirring(M-EMS) in continuous casting were comprehensively introduced, meanwhile, some problems associated with the application of M-EMS and their countermeasures were also discussed. It is considered that the combination stirring (M+F-EMS) should be employed to newly built bloom continuous caster at PZH Steel, and the mold electromagnetic stirring parameters should be optimized in order to fully realize the advantages of M-EMS.

Abstract:
Two processes for use of Panzhihua ilmenite according to the features of the ilmenite and energy resources of Panzhihua area are described:(1) titanium dioxide is produced by sulphate process from the ilmenite or titania slag made from smelting the ilmenite by elctric-arc furnace method; (2) titanium dioxide or sponge titanium is produced by chloride process form synthetic rutile made from the ilmenite by hydrochloric acid leaching method. The advantages and disadvantages between the two processes are also presented.

Abstract:
In the course of development for high-strength microalloyed Q390Eq steel plate, the technology of Nb+Al or V+Al microalloying and controlled rolling (CR) were applied. Some analyses on its production process,mechanics properties and welding performances were carried out. The suitable composition of Q390Eq for bridge use and its CR parameters were established. The results are also useful for the development of other microalloyed steel plate with high strength and toughness.

Using TiO(OH)2 as raw material to prepare rutile nanometer titania applicable to ultra-violet screening by employing of Sol-Gel method was studied. The study concentrated on the influence of the amount of rutile accelerator, reaction temperature, calcining temperature and duration against the rate of crystalline phase transition of tiania and crystal dimension. The effects of nanometer titania crystal dimension on the absorption of ultra violet was also discussed.

Abstract:
The effects of ultraviolet ray absorption agent CIBA5151 and rutile nanometer titania which were coated with a film of organic or inorganic compound on the properties of paint were compared. In the course, the influences of the addition amount of rutile nanometer titania against the cohesion,flexibility, impact resistance and ageing resistance of the paint was mainly concentrated on. It shows that adding suitable amount of rutile nanometer titania can improve ageing resistance and mechanics properties of paint.
