AN INVESTIGATION ON MELTING FERROTITANIUM PROCESS IN THERMITE METHOD

  • Melting 65%~75% Ti ferrotitanium process with rutile in thermite method was discussed.The optimum technical condition and index of production of 73.77% Ti ferrotitanium as the titanium recovery of 78.83% were obtained through the three experiments of levels 20 kg,200 kg and 500 kg and the influence factors in the test was discussed. As the result,it is possible to melting ferrotitanium with rutile in thermite method.
