A STUDY OF DIRECT HOT CHARGING OF PANGANG'S CONTINUOUS CAST SLAB AND RELATIVE TECHNOLOGY

  • Based on the present condition of direct hot charging technology of Pangang's continuous cast slab, a mathematical model of direct hot charging and reheating of continuous cast slabwas developed. The industrial test of production mode was conducted. The relation between the surface qualily of slab be fore rolling and surface quality of hot strip coil was investigated. The management measures of direct hot charging of continuous cast slab and operation sequence of reheating furnace were established. The statistic results of production practice show the rate of direct hot charging of slab is increased from 16.7% in 1995 to 36.9% in 1996. The average temperature of slab coming into reheating furnace is 565℃.
