Abstract:
Based on the present condition of direct hot charging technology of Pangang's continuous cast slab, a mathematical model of direct hot charging and reheating of continuous cast slabwas developed. The industrial test of production mode was conducted. The relation between the surface qualily of slab be fore rolling and surface quality of hot strip coil was investigated. The management measures of direct hot charging of continuous cast slab and operation sequence of reheating furnace were established. The statistic results of production practice show the rate of direct hot charging of slab is increased from 16.7% in 1995 to 36.9% in 1996. The average temperature of slab coming into reheating furnace is 565℃.

Abstract(23) PDF(0)
Abstract:
Through the laboratory experiment under the condition which could be realized at Panzhihua Iron and Steel Corp., the present paper discusses the effects of hot air sintering on the sintering Process and the sinter quality including the adaptable process parameters for vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite concent rate with high titanium oxide content. The experiment has proved that the hot air sintering could significantly improve the Sinter strength, sinter yield and utilization coefficient and decrease the fuel consumption.

1997, 18(3): 20-23.
Abstract(29) PDF(0)
Abstract:
The factors that cause longitudinal surface cracks formation on the Pangang's continuous cast 09SiVL steel slabs are analysed. The results show that carbon content in molten steel is the decisive factor of longitudinal surface cracks formation on the slabs and that effect of viscosity of casting powder on Iongitudinal surface cracks formation on the slabs is obvious. ln order to remove the longitudinal surface cracks. the carbon content in molten steel must be controlled in the range of 0.08%~0.10%. When the carbon content in molten steelis in the range of 0.11%~0.13%, the casting powder of medium viscosity is used so as to decrease the longitudinal surface cracks of continuous cast slab.

RE-GRINDING AND RE-DRESSING OF PRIMARY CONCENTRATE RECOVERED FROM TAILINGS OF ORE DRESSING
Huang Qiong
1997, 18(3): 29-33.
Abstract(14) PDF(0)
Abstract:
The experimental study on the re-grinding of primary concentrate has been conducted through the investigation and analysis on the process to recover iron concentrate from tailings of ore dressing. The results indicate that iron concentrate of 51.50% grade could be obtained after regrinding of primary concentrate and the production of iron concentrate could be raised.
