EFFECT OF CASTING FACTORS IN CONTINUOUS CASTING PROCESS ON “CAVITY” DEFECT OF COLD ROLLED SHEET

  • Received Date: 2000-04-11
  • Effect of casting factors in continuous casting process on “cavity” defect of cold rolled sheet is investigated. It is concluded that longer ladle casting time (≥16 min) will obviously increase the “cavity” defect rate in the cold rolled products.Under open casting,if various anomalous operation factors act at same time, the amount of inclusion in continuous cast slab will be increased to form more “cavity” defects in the products.
