Abstract:
The features of their steelmaking,refining and continuous casting processes were introduced after investigation of several steel companies in Europe.Based on shortcomings existing in steelmaking system at PZH Steel, in order to accomplish desulphurization of all hot metal,and refining and continuous casting of total molten steel,the existing techniques used for pretreatment of hot metal,converter steelmaking,molten steel refining and continuous casting processes must be reformed.The necessity to realize automatic control and computerized management of steelmaking system was put forward.

Abstract:
The first 120t converter was established at PZH Steel in the 1970S.Alongside development of steelmaking production and technical improvement, the more strict technical requirements on the reliability and functions of the equipments are set.Therefore,based on the analysis of the current situation of existing equipments at Vanadium Recovery and Steelmaking Plant of PZH Steel,the program of future development of equipments was put forward.

Abstract:
A series of the related techniques for optimization of continuous casting process were used at PHZ Steel,such as improvement of ladle refining and tundish metallurgy for cleaning of molten steel,using compound roll,lower overheating degree casting and casting powder for high speed continuous casting,and optimization of the heat transfer model of secondary cooling zone etc.The production of the slab,the operation rate of the slab continuous caster were increased and the quality of the slab was improved under condition of high speed continuous casting by means of the above techniques

Abstract:
The melting temperature and its range of the converter slag containing vanadium and titanium oxides (different contents) were measured.The contents of vanadium and titanium oxides in the slag were determined by electron microscope.The reasons why the melting temperature of the slag containing vanadium and titanium oxides was lower than the Common slag were discovered.The way for the slag splashing using the slag containing vanadium and titanium oxides was put forward.

The slag splashing for steelmaking with semi-steel is used in 120t converter at PZH Steel.The properties of the slag containing vanadium and titanium oxides,the selection of the slag composition,the optimization of slag formation process,the decreasing of TFe content in the final slag,the controlling of N2 blowing parameters using slag splashing and the obtained results were introduced.

Abstract:
The light treatment of LCAK and axle steels,the treatment of IF steel with vacuum decarbonization and vacuum oxygen decarbonization,and the deep vacuum treatment of rail steel and MFB heating molten steel and vessel were carried out in RH-MFB at PZH Steel.the effect of the model of decreasing pressure in the vessel and MFB oxygen blowing was analyzed on the carbonization rate.The influence of the vacuity in the vessel was discussed on the final carbon content in the molten steel.

Abstract:
The controlling model for semi steel steelmaking in 120t converter at PZH Steel was developed.The complicated steelmaking process was simplified into the controlling of oxygen blowing time.The test results by use of the controlling model show the perventage of hits comes up to more than 80%.The percentage of hits is 76.67% in inaustrial proauction.

Abstract:
The pretreatment process for hot metal containing vanadium and titanium at PZH Steel was introduced.First,the desulphurization of the hot metal is carried out. After desulphurization,the sulfur content in the hot metal is decreased from initial 0.04%~0.08% to less than 0.02%,even less than 0.01%.Second,the vanadium is recovered from the desulphurized hot metal in converter,the vanadium in the hot metal is made to come into vanadium bearing slag, the vanadium content in the hot metal is reduced from initial 0.32%~0.34% to less than 0.028%.The(V2O5)content in the vanadium bearing slag is about 19%.

Abstract:
In order to meet the increasing demands of user for the internal quality of the rail steel,the rail steel production technology was optimized at PZH Steel.The quality of the rail steel has been improved greatly by means of desulphurization of hot metal,improvement of deoxidation of molten steel,refining and casting processes.The internal quality of the rail steel comes up to 200 km high speed rail standards.

Abstract:
The good results such as extending life of steel tapping hole,stabilization of steel tapping time and temperature drop during steel tapping,decreasing slag carring over and increasing alloy recovery percent were achieved using integral change of steel tapping hole and steel tapping by slag skimming in 120 t converter at PZH Steel.The results above were of great advantage to reduce labour in tensity,stabilize operation and improve the quality of molten steel.

Abstract:
While the RE-treated steels were cast at PZH Steel Co., the RE oxide (RExOy) had influence on the properties of mold powders,which brought about low casting speed,high breakout rate and poor slab surface quality and also had the harmful effects on production and development of these steels.The countermeasures for strengthening the control of continuous casting and developing the proper mold powders were put forward based on the analyses of the difficult points continuous casting of RE-treated steels.
