2002, 23(3): 5-8,20.
Abstract(21) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The mathematical model which describes the flow and heat transfer in inverse solidifying mold was established. Base on the model, a series of study with computerized simulation was taken. The results give the solidifying law which has three stages, quickly thickening of solidification zone, equilibrium and quickly remelting respectively. By comparing the experiment data of strip thickness with the simulation ones, the validity of the model was confirmed.

2002, 23(3): 17-20.
Abstract(11) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The distribution of the temperature fields, which were tested when iron-based composites reinforced by in situ TiC were produced, were provided. By analysis of the tested temperature fields, it can be said that the reaction of Ti+C=TiC occurs due to heat quantity released by liquid metal and crystallization heat, when an iron-based composite reinforced by in situ TiC is produced.

2002, 23(3): 21-24.
Abstract(15) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The principles of design and evaluation for submerged entry nozzle (SEN) were put forward based on the view of establishing rational flow pattern in mold.On the base of water model experiment and numerical simulation, the reasonable structure type of SEN was obtained for the bloom continuous casting mold at PZH Steel. The SEN has four holes with upward angle.
STUDY ON WITHDRAWAL ROLL STRUCTURE PARAMETER OF UNDERGROUND HOT STRIP REEL
WANG Yong-qin, ZHU Ning, YAN Xing-chun, LIU Jian-ye, WAN Fei
2002, 23(3): 25-28.
Abstract(19) PDF(1)
Abstract:
Most of the underground hot strip reels, which are widely used in hot strip work, are importation or are made with introduced technique from overseas. The study on the design principle of hot strip reels is not deep-going. The selecting method for the diameter of withdrawal roll was discussed combining with the request of the national tackle key item. The calculation formulas of the diameters are provided in virtue of the elastic and plastic bending deformation theory. The calculated result turns out according with the practical evidence.

2002, 23(3): 29-32.
Abstract(20) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The problems, such as easily appearing slab surface crack and nozzle clogging in the continuous casting process of low-alloy steel, were solved through the studying on continuous casting velocity, second cooling model, mold powder, wire feeding operation of RE line and so on. The above-mentioned research is the basis for PZH Steel's 1350 slab caster to produce low-alloy steel?

2002, 23(3): 33-35.
Abstract(15) PDF(1)
Abstract:
The hot rolling technologies of stainless steel were investigated by theoretical analysis and industrial experiment. The technological innovation with ordinary hot mills rolling stainless steel was achieved. The hot rolling process of stainless steel was developed at PZH Steel.
BEHAVIOR OF Al2O3 IN TITANIUM SLAG
ZHAO Zhi-jun, MA En-quan, LIAN Yu-jin
2002, 23(3): 36-38,43.
Abstract:
The behavior of Al2O3 in titanium slag was discussed by combining the production practice of electric-furnace with the theoretical basis of titanium slag smelting. It is concluded that the relative high Al2O3 content in titaniferous iron ore leads to increasing of the viscosity and the melting-point of high titanium slag, irregularity in furnace operation and technical-and-economic indexes depression. Besides, the relative high Al2O3 content in titaniferous iron ore also has negative influence on the enriching of TiO2 and the operation of chloridizing process.

FLD is usually measured with swell test in rigid die. The tested FLD is good fit that one measured by analogue computer in ASAME(Automated Strain Analysis and Measure Environment). When application FLD for analyzing the safety of formed parts and the selection of materials, the result is quite reliable where the deformation is mainly plane strain and swell, but unreliable for deep drawing parts.
